As EK Thistle continues to expand as a Club, new places are now available for players and coaches wishing to join the club for the new season.
New players are welcome across all age groups, both boys and girls, but two teams in particular are looking to fill some key positions.
Any player born in 1997 can now join the newly formed EK Thistle 1997 Boys Reds team, which trains at the Showpark. Players in all positions are welcome to come along to training, which runs every Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm. Anyone interested can also contact manager Scott Gray on 07838 164852.
In the older age groups, the under 19s boys are also on the lookout for new players to improve their already talented squad, in particular a goalkeeper. Anyone interested can contact Peter Henry on 07540 575446.
On the coaching side, Thistle are looking to expand their coaching pool, with both experienced and new coaches. Experienced coaches can hit the ground running by joining one of the teams and coaching throughout the club, while anyone interested in starting out in coaching will be mentored as they gain experience. For both new and experienced coaches, EK Thistle actively expects coaches to gain the necessary coaching qualifications for the age group they are coaching with, however the club actively encourages anyone who wants to increase the knowledge and experience in coaching.
