Ellon 1 EK Thistle 2
The first team travelled to Ellon on Scottish cup day and returned with a great victory over a strong team. The first goal came in 12min's, when a cross from the left by Michael was taken, which led to a great touch from Andy Winters: who slotted it home, from 18 yards out, low past the keepers left had side making it 1-0 Thistle. Shortly after the 1st goal Ellon were awarded a very soft penalty, which was saved to his right hand side by David McGuinness, 5 mins after that save David again pulled of another fantastic stop to his right hand side, keeping thistle in the game and taking them into half-time 1 - 0 up.
